Soomes n\u00e4itas kraadiklaas 32 p\u00fcgalat alla nulli. J\u00e4\u00e4l\u00f5hkuja \u201eV\u00e4inem\u00f6inen\u201c tegi paaril korral katset p\u00e4\u00e4seda Helsingist Tallinna, kuid katsed nurjusid. Telefoniteel asjaajamine polnud asjaajamine, oli vaja vahest ka \u201et\u00f5sist\u201c juttu ajada ja kirju vahetada. \u00dchendus aga puudus. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kahel lennukil olid Briti lennuinstruktorid, kellega olid kaasas Eesti lendur kapten J\u00fcri Ots ja insener Treimann. Kolmandat juhtis aga lendur Nikolai Veelmann, kaasas esimene Eesti ametipost, mis Tallinnast Soome saadeti, et see sealt Rootsi, Inglismaale ja Taani edastataks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Lennukid maandusid Helsingi k\u00fclje all merej\u00e4\u00e4l. Briti lendurid lendasid sealt edasi Sandhamina lennujaama. Veel\u00ad\u00admanni DH 9-l ei saadud mootorit k\u00e4ima. J\u00e4rjest valjemaks muutunud torm \u00e4hvardas lennuki uperpalli paisata. Soome s\u00f5durid kutsuti appi, nende abiga toodi rannast kivim\u00fcrakad, mis seoti lennuki k\u00fclge, et masinat hoida j\u00e4\u00e4l. Lennuk j\u00e4igi \u00f6\u00f6seks merej\u00e4\u00e4le s\u00f5durite valve alla.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">J\u00e4rgmisel p\u00e4eval saadi lennuki mootor t\u00f6\u00f6le ja Veelmann s\u00f5itis Sandhamina lennujaama. Tagasis\u00f5iduks j\u00e4\u00e4di siiski sobivamat ilma ootama. 11. veebruaril kella 17 paiku ilm selgines. Helsingis resideeriv Lossmann helistas sealsesse Eesti saatkonda ning palus posti- ja rahapakid lennukile tuua. Nii paigutati Veelmanni lennukisse 27 miljonit marka Eesti v\u00f5lakohustusi ja post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Ruum, mis mulle oli m\u00e4\u00e4ratud, oli pakkidega nii t\u00e4is tuubitud, et istumiseks ruumi ei j\u00e4tkunud. Peagi kadus aga kaks neist silmist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tallinna j\u00f5uti \u00fche tunni ja 10 minutiga. <em>Olime aerodroomi kohal, kuid me ei n\u00e4inud, et meid oodataks, ei mingisugust m\u00e4rku vastuv\u00f5tuks. L\u00f5puks n\u00e4gime l\u00f5ket ja suitsu.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lennu\u00f5nnetus \u2013 post, raha, bensiin <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Veelmann hakkas maanduma, ehkki Lossmannile tundus see hoopis allakukkumisena. K\u00e4is suur raksatus. Lennuk oli kuskil kiviaia \u00e4\u00e4res ja pooleks murdunud. Terav valu rindkeres, p\u00fc\u00fcdis Lossmann pakkide alt v\u00e4lja p\u00e4\u00e4seda. Pea alaspidi rippuva ja koriseva lenduri leidis ta rusude vahelt. Lossmann ei unustanud posti- ja rahapakke. <em>J\u00e4rgmisel hommikul andsin \u00fcle raha, mis \u00f6\u00f6sel oli minu kodus. L\u00e4ksin staapi Pagari t\u00e4naval. K\u00f5igil olid vihased n\u00e4od, ka minu onul, kindral Larkal, kes oli tol ajal s\u00f5jaminister. Ta \u00fctles vaid: \u201eOleksite v\u00f5inud\u2026.\u201c.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rahvusvaheliselt tuntud sportlane, maratonijooksja ja ol\u00fcmpiah\u00f5beda p\u00e4lvinud J\u00fcri Lossmann v\u00f5ttis ajaloolise postilennu kokku nii: \u201eSee lend, mis k\u00fcll \u00f5nnetult l\u00f5ppes, pani siiski aluse esimesele Eesti \u00f5hupostile ja \u00fcldse esimesele Eesti-Soome lennu\u00fchendusele, sest varem polnud kummagi maa lennukid \u00fcksteist k\u00fclastanud&#8230; Raha toimetasime ka kohale.
