Nii nagu juba tookord aimasin, kasvaski konserveerimisosakonna ajaloo uurimisest v\u00e4lja minu magistrit\u00f6\u00f6. Hakkasin uurima ERMi kogude s\u00e4ilitamiseks kasutatud keemilise t\u00f5rje meetodeid ja vahendeid aastatel 1913-1992.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kui 20. sajandi alguses alustati materiaalse rahvakultuuri esemete kogumisega Eesti Rahva Muuseumis, tuli seda hakata ka oskuslikult s\u00e4ilitama. Kuna esemete kaudu saab hoida omakultuuri, oli kogumise \u00fcheks p\u00f5hiliseks eesm\u00e4rgiks kasvatada rahvuslikku identiteeti. ERM Fk 365:52, foto: Kristjan Jaan<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minu uudishimu vanade s\u00e4ilitusmeetodite vastu tekkis tavap\u00e4rase konserveerimist\u00f6\u00f6 k\u00e4igus, kui avastasin muuseumi villastel \u00a0vaipadel ja hobuse- v\u00f5i vankritekkidel v\u00e4ga tugevad pleekimise tunnused ning sageli eraldus t\u00f6\u00f6laual olevatest vaipadest spetsiifilist l\u00f5hna, mis muutis nendega t\u00f6\u00f6tamise aegajalt p\u00e4ris ebamugavaks. Kes on k\u00e4inud vanades Veski t\u00e4nava tekstiilihoidlates, v\u00f5ib-olla m\u00e4letavad, mis l\u00f5hnast juttu on. Kolleegide s\u00f5nul on tegemist naftaleeniga (k\u00f5nekeeles naftaliin). 1200px\" \/><\/a>Alustasin uurimist ERMi ametiarhiivist, mis sisaldab p\u00e4ris palju informatiivseid dokumente muuseumi tegevusest l\u00e4bi ajaloo. Sealt leidsin ka vastused eelnevalt tekkinud k\u00fcsimustele. Selle uurimist\u00f6\u00f6ga avanes ka v\u00f5imalus esmakordselt koostada ERMi konserveerimisajalugu, mida saab lugeda minu magistrit\u00f6\u00f6st \u201eBiotsiidide kasutamine ja nende m\u00f5ju Eesti Rahva Muuseumi tekstiilide n\u00e4itel\u201c. Erinevatest kassadokumentidest, t\u00f6\u00f6aruannetest ja \u00a0konserveerimisp\u00e4evikutest kogunes infot\u00a0 27 erineva ERMis kasutatud kemikaali koha, mis k\u00f5ik olid m\u00f5eldud kogude s\u00e4ilitamiseks- desinfitseerimiseks, koit\u00f5rjeks ja konserveerimiseks. Foto: autor teadmata.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hoolimata teadmistest ja kogemustest, mis olid Eesti Rahva Muuseumis olemas juba 20. sajandi alguses (muuseumi esemete tuulutamine, kahjurit\u00f5rjevahendite kasutamine, j\u00e4rjepidev l\u00e4bivaatamine ja korrastamine), ei \u00f5nnestunud tolleaegsetel t\u00f6\u00f6tajatel olemasolevates tingimustes alati tekstiili- ja puidukahjurite elutegevust l\u00f5petada. Olid olemas ka teadmised stabiilsest keskkonnast, kuivade, k\u00f6etud ja puhaste hoidlaruumide olulisusest, n\u2013\u00f6 ideaalsetest hoiutingimustest. Siiski on objektirohked etnograafilised kogud n\u00f5udnud efektiivsemaid biokahjustuste t\u00f5rjemeetmeid. Biokahjustajate t\u00f5rje p\u00f5him\u00f5tted on samuti ajaloo jooksul muutunud ja arenenud ning reeglina ei ole biokahjustustega toimetulekuks olemas lihtsaid meetodeid ja v\u00f5imalusi. \u00dcle\u00fcldiselt v\u00f5ib biokahjustajate t\u00f5rjemeetodid jagada kaheks: keemilisteks ja mittekeemilisteks. V\u00f5rreldes Eesti Rahva Muuseumi keemilisi t\u00f5rjevahendeid v\u00e4lismaailma suuremate rahvusmuuseumite omadega, v\u00f5ib v\u00e4ita, et tegemist on olnud universaalsete ja sarnaste laialt levinud meetmetega. Katsetused l\u00f5ppesid edukalt, kui 1992. aastal \u00f5nnestus muuseumil saada v\u00e4liseestlaste abil uus s\u00fcgavk\u00fclmkapp, mis 2002. aastal asendati uuema,\u00a0 spetsiaalselt tekstiilihoidlaruumiga integreeritud k\u00fclmkambriga. Teine k\u00fclmutuskamber puitesemete ja suurem\u00f5\u00f5tmeliste objektide jaoks ehitati Raadi uutesse hoidlatesse 2003. aastal ja see on kasutusel t\u00e4naseni. Nii l\u00f5ppeski 1990. aastate alguses j\u00e4rk-j\u00e4rgult esemete massiline desinfitseerimine biotsiidide ja teiste varem kasutatud kemikaalidega. Edaspidi hakati keemilise t\u00f5rje kasutamisel l\u00e4htuma konkreetse eseme seisundist. Osa t\u00f5rjevahendeid moodustavad kiuga keemilisi sidemeid (sarnaselt happeliste tekstiiliv\u00e4rvidega) ja on seet\u00f5ttu pesukindlad, mis t\u00e4hendab, et kemikaali ei saa hiljem objektilt eemaldada. Kuna t\u00f5rjevahendite kasutamine v\u00f5ib olla p\u00f6\u00f6rdumatu iseloomuga t\u00f6\u00f6tlusprotsess, t\u00f5statab putukam\u00fcrkide kasutamine ajaloolistel tekstiilidel eetilisi k\u00fcsimusi nende sobilikkusest\u00a0 konserveerimisel. Mitmeid varem kasutatud t\u00f5rje- ja desinfitseerimisaineid enam ei kasutata, sest terviseorganisatsioonid on need nimetanud inimese tervist kahjustavateks aineteks,\u00a0 kantserogeenideks. Nende hulka kuuluvad arseen, DDT, elavh\u00f5beda sublimaat, naftaleen, paradiklorobenseen. Euroopa Liidus keelustati\u00a0 naftaleenitoodete m\u00fc\u00fck 2008. aastal.\u00a0 Eestis puuduvad praegu veel terviseameti poolt m\u00e4\u00e4ratud standardid ja normid nende ruumide sise\u00f5hule, kus biotsiididega t\u00f6\u00f6deldud objekte hoiustatakse ja k\u00e4sitsetakse. Nii t\u00f6\u00f6taja tervise kui ka eseme konserveerimise seisukohast on oluline teada, kas kemikaalidega t\u00f6\u00f6deldud objektid v\u00f5ivad sisaldada biotsiidide j\u00e4\u00e4ke. Foto: Janika Turu<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SEM-EDS ja pXRF anal\u00fc\u00fcsidega tuvastatud kloorisisaldus anal\u00fc\u00fcsitud l\u00f5ngatoonides ja vaiba pinnal v\u00f5ib viidata kloori sisaldava biotsiidi j\u00e4\u00e4gile. Kuid on oluline teada, et kloori on alates 19. sajandi l\u00f5pust kasutatud ka villaste l\u00f5ngade kloorimiseks ja t\u00f6\u00f6tlemiseks enne v\u00e4rvimisprotsessi. Ka villakiudude soomuskihi siledus ning \u00fchtlus viitab keemilisele t\u00f6\u00f6tlusprotsessile, mille k\u00e4igus kasutati kloori, et parandada materjali omadusi, nagu n\u00e4iteks pehmus ja vildistuvus. Kuid v\u00f5rreldes puhta naftaleeni ja uuritavate vaipade l\u00f5hna aistiliselt, v\u00f5iks usaldada haistmismeelt ja j\u00e4reldada, et vaipu on t\u00f6\u00f6deldud naftaleeniga. Spetsiifiline l\u00f5hn v\u00f5ib olla moodustunud ka aja jooksul mitme erineva kasutatud aine koostoimel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biotsiidij\u00e4\u00e4kide identifitseerimine vajab edasist uurimist ja katsetada tuleks ka erinevaid proovide ettevalmistamise v\u00f5imalusi. Nende v\u00e4ljat\u00f6\u00f6tamiseks on vaja luua standardid, mille alusel teha naftaleeniaurude anal\u00fc\u00fcse. T\u00f5rjeainete j\u00e4\u00e4ke on lihtsam identifitseerida niisketel tekstiilidel.\u00a0 Selleks soovitatakse kasutada tahke faasi mikroekstaktsiooni meetodit (spetsiaalne proovide ettevalmistamise viis) koos gaasikromatograafi massispektromeetriga (SPME GC-MS). Niisketelt tekstiilidelt eralduvaid naftaleeniaure saab m\u00e4\u00e4rata ka Raman spektroskoobiga (SERS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kuigi naftaleeni ja ka teiste biotsiidide j\u00e4\u00e4kide sisalduse m\u00e4\u00e4ramine tekstiilides on keeruline, tuleb keemiliselt t\u00f6\u00f6deldud objektidega siiski tegelda. Nagu teada, ei kahjusta naftaleeniga t\u00f6\u00f6deldud objektide m\u00e4rgmenetlus villaseid tekstiile. K\u00f5ige suuremat riski kujutab see inimese tervisele. Arhiiviallikatele toetudes on teada, et ERMis kasutati biotsiidina paradiklorobenseeni (pDCB) ja teisi kloori\u00fchendeid sisaldavaid tooteid ning SEM-EDS anal\u00fc\u00fcsidega tuvastati uuritavatel vaipadel kloorisisaldus. Sellest tulenevalt peaks enne konserveerimismenetluste l\u00e4biviimist nimetatud asjaoludega arvestama.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paljud muuseumid on viimase k\u00fcmne aasta jooksul otsinud lahendusi, kuidas naftaleeni- ja paradiklorobenseenij\u00e4\u00e4ke (pDCB) tekstiilides tuvastada ja eemaldada. Biotsiidij\u00e4\u00e4kide eemaldamiseks on katsetatud j\u00e4rgmisi meetodeid:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">mehaaniline kuivpuhastus,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">mehaaniline m\u00e4rgpuhastus,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">s\u00fcsihappegaasi (CO2) kasutavad meetodid,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">keemiline puhastus,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">v\u00e4liseid energiaid (infra-ja ultraheli) kasutavad meetodid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2011. aastal t\u00f6\u00f6tasid NMAI (National Museum of American Indian) tekstiilikonservaator Susan Heald ja MCI (Smithsonian Museum Conservation Institute) keemik Odile Madden v\u00e4lja <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/281441456_Investigations_into_naphthalene_mitigation_on_museum_objects\">tuulutusmeetodi<\/a>, millega on v\u00f5imalik naftaleeni ja teiste sarnaste repellentide j\u00e4\u00e4ke tekstiilides v\u00e4hendada. Leiti sobiv ja mittedestruktiivne konserveerimismenetlus, mida v\u00f5iks k\u00e4sitleda muuseumi kontekstis ka eraldi s\u00e4ilitusmenetlusena. Selleks rakendati t\u00f6\u00f6le kuivatuskapp, mis ventileerib \u00f5hku kindla ajaperioodi j\u00e4rel ning on \u00fchenduses hoone ventilatsioonis\u00fcsteemiga. Biotsiididega t\u00f6\u00f6deldud villane tekstiil asetatakse 4 tunniks kappi, milles on 23.8\u201324.5\u02daC ja suhteline \u00f5huniiskus 49\u201379%. K\u00f5rgema niiskusesisalduse ja temperatuuri korral hakkavad nii naftaleeni- kui ka pDCB-j\u00e4\u00e4gid materjalist eralduma. Viimase etapina l\u00fclitatakse sisse t\u00f5mbes\u00fcsteem ja lenduvad \u00fchendid ventileeritakse 18 tunni jooksul kapist v\u00e4lja.
